Reservations, deposits, payments, cancellations and refunds.
The Pier accepts cash and card payments (American Express, Visa, Mastercard, Maestro) and reserves the right to temporarily hold an amount prior to arrival.
If you make a reservation by phone with The Pier, we may ask you for a deposit for the first night’s stay then your booking is secured and becomes a legally binding agreement between us.
If a deposit has been made then the balance for your stay is payable on arrival. We don’t accept cheques but if you would prefer to make full payment by bank transfer to reach our bank in advance of your arrival date, please contact us for details.
If you tell us that you need to cancel your reservation:
We shall only fail to provide your booked accommodation for you if it becomes unavailable for reasons beyond our control. In this event we shall attempt to find alternative local accommodation of a corresponding standard. If this is not possible, or is unacceptable to you, we would refund all money paid to us in connection with the booking. Other than in exceptional circumstances our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
